Electricity
Electricity is literally power that flows from lower potential to higher potential - electrons flow from negative to positive, current flows from positive to negative - as if the electrons are the pipe allowing for the equilibrium to be maintained.
Math Breakdown
Amps - A Voltage - V Wattage - W Resistance - Ohms - Horseshoe Symbol
W = AV
Amps is the amount of current, and voltage is the potential difference. For example, in a tv remote, the circuit board requires 3V of power, which is supplied by two 1.5V batteries. The amperage is low, and these batteries can last a long time.
Importantly, this is why you have to breakdown wattage. 15 Watts of power depends - it could be 15V at 1 Amp, or 1V at 15A
High voltage can kill someone (tasers use high voltage and low amperage). High amps require very thick wires and can heat metal to insane degrees, while causing no electric shock to our bodies due to the resistance of skin (high voltage bypasses our skin's resistance)
For example, power lines in cities and states use very high voltage because it can use a thinner wire - higher amps mean thicker wires to hold the electric charge.
