Cable Car
A cable car or gondola is a aerial cabin that can contain people and move them about.
On-board power
On board power is generally through supercapacitors located on the roof of the cabin, that can be charged at each station. Supercapacitors have a high power rate, however, they also discharge fast. This is why they are not good as a battery storage option, even though they have long operating periods, due to no chemical change occuring (as far as I know).
Certain cable cars have batteries instead, or use solar power. Batteries can be recharged at the stops, through power rails.
